Q: What type of Organization are you?
A: We are a 501c3 non-profit AAU Basketball Organization located in Northwest Arkansas. Our teams will play in other tournaments outside AAU.
Q: What is my financial obligation?
A: You will be required to make a mandatory non refundable donation to our organization. These funds will be used for you childs team only. Your funds will be used to cover tournament entry fees, gym rentals, uniforms, practice equipment and any other adminstrative costs your coach deem neccessary for coaching your child's team. The actual amount varies for each team due to schedule and age differences. Your donation should be tax deductible and you will be provided a Tax Receipt. Please see your coach for your required donation amount.
Q: How far do you travel ?
A: You will have to discuss this with your child's coach. Typical travel is usually within a 3 hour radius but our older teams have been known to go farther. Please see your child's coach for a detailed schedule.
Q: What do you do with surplus money from sponsors and parents?
A: We want to show all our sponsors and parents that we're good stewards of resources we're blessed with. Each coach practices a great deal of frugalness and will be challenged to make sure all funds received last an entire season. We also know that sponsorship is hard to come by some so we keep reserve funds on hand to help our teams survive.
Q: Will my childs minutes be guaranteed ?
A: NO, we're a competetive organization. All minutes are earned and all our coaches have final say on how they will be distributed each game.
Q: Do you offer player sponsorship?
A: Please see your coach if you require financial assitance. He/She should be able to get you a application to fill out. Please note that filling out an application does not guaranteed you will receive assitance. We're a non-profit and our fund are very limited.
Q: Will we get to keep our uniforms?
A: NO, all uniforms will belong to our organization. Each parent will be required to fill out a form releasing us from liability and promising you will return your uniform.
Q: How long does your season last?
A: Our teams usually start their season in March and finish up by the first week of August. Please see your coach for specifics schedules as they will vary in length.
Q: Can my child be cut from his/her team?
A: YES. Please see your coach for details.
Q: Do you have paid staff?
A: NO. All of our staff members have a fulltime job in addition to his/her volunteering efforts. Please be respectful when dealing with them as volunteers are hard to find and our organization with not exist without them.
